Lost-and-found website

Cherkasy Lost and Found organisation is an informational web portal, with a database that collects all the information about found, forgotten or lost items or pets in Cherkasy. The information is placed 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, weekends and holidays. We do not charge any money for registration, posting and finding information about lost and found items.

Who are the e-volunteers?

Citizens of Cherkasy. The co-operation started by writing in newspapers about lost items, then by putting up information on local informational stands, also by using the Internet (social media and local Internet forums) and finally by sending e-mails to registered users to the Lost and Found Organisation website.

How many e-volunteers are involved?

Currently engaged in the project are 180 people. From the start there was one person, who created the website.

Whom do they address the project to? Who is the recipient?

The recipients of the project are citizens of Cherkasy. Cherkasy is the town with a population of 350 000.

How do they verify the e-volunteers’ competences before they start the co-operation with them?

Volunteers are assessed with special verification questions placed on the website and they are approved by their existing e-mails.

How do they ensure the safety and the quality of the e-volunteers’ work?

We ensure the safety and the quality of the e-volunteers’ work by the results of their work.
